INVESTMENTS: OVER $1.5M TO ENHANCE THE EXPERIENCE AT STONEHAM

Stoneham, June 1st, 2026 — Winter has just come to an end, and the teams at Station touristique Stoneham are already hard at work preparing for the upcoming season. Several major projects, totaling more than $1.5 million, will be carried out over the summer to enhance the customer experience and improve mountain infrastructure.

Modernization of the L’Aurore Boréale Chairlift

The L’Aurore Boréale chairlift will undergo a significant upgrade. All control systems and the operating interface will be replaced with next-generation equipment. Both operator cabins will also be replaced, and the unloading area will be redesigned to improve comfort and traffic flow for guests.

This major renovation project, representing an investment of over $1 million, will be carried out in collaboration with Leitner-Poma.

Improvements to Sector 41

Also in Mountain 4, blasting and grading work will be completed on Trail 41 to enable earlier opening of the sector using natural snow.
These improvements will enhance the base terrain and reduce snowmaking requirements, allowing guests to access this area earlier in the season.

New Bison X Snow Groomer for Parks

Finally, the resort has acquired a new Bison X snow groomer, specifically designed for the construction and maintenance of parks.

Interest in terrain parks remains strong at Stoneham, and hosting the Canada Winter Games in March 2027 will provide a unique opportunity to showcase that Stoneham is more than ever synonymous with slopestyle.

In total, more than $1.5 million will be invested in the product and customer experience ahead of the upcoming season.
